Miss Afro Hair and Beauty awards 1995:
I made the finals of the Miss Afro Hair and beauty awards and this led me to move down to London from the West Midlands.
Storm model agency/Cosmopolitan magazine supermodel competition 1996:
I made the semi finals of this prestigious supermodel competition by making the top 20 out of 50 000 entrants and got to meet Sarah Doukas who said that I had a bright future as a model in the fashion industry.
Cosmopolitan magazine Fun, Fearless Female award nomination 2006:
I made the top 10 out of 16,000 entrants for the prestigious Fun, Fearless female awards by fashion bible Cosmopolitan magazine for my work for my gastroparesis awareness campaign in the UK and also all of my other exploits and goals in life.
Miss East London 2002:
I won the Miss East London beauty pageant title which led me to compete in the National Miss Great Britain finals in 2002.
Urdang Academy of ballet and performing arts 1995:
I won a full scholarship to a full time prestigious ballet school amounting to thousands of pounds.
Miss Great Britain 2002:
I won the Best Swimsuit Award in the Miss Great Britain beauty pageant finals in 2002.
EFBWBO award nomination in 2002:
I recieved a nomination for my popular jazz dance school in London as a black business owner striving to do well.
My nomination was as follows:
Thema was the first black woman to win an award at Miss Great Britain 2002, and has been chosen to represent Miss Jamaica. She also trains cheerleading teams with an ambition to represent Arsenal Football Club. A woman of substance, Thema aims to conquer higher heights & deeper depths in the future.
Dance theater of Harlem ballet scholarship 2003:
I won full a scolarship to train in ballet with the prestigious Dance Theater of Harlem for a rare 2 week course in London. It was a memorable and amazing experience that I will never forget!
